S. Korea looking for immigrant mentors to help newcomers settle


the South Korean government is looking
for naturalized Koreans and foreign residents who have successfully settled
here in South Korea to serve as mentors for newcomers to the country according
to the Ministry of Justice selected members will participate in an education
program to help immigrants acquire basic knowledge and information about life in
Korea including language culture and understanding of Korean society now
applicants must be over 25 years old have lived in Korea for at least five
years and be able to hold lectures in Korean applications can be downloaded
from the Immigration Service offices website and must be completed before
5:00 p.m. Tuesday that’s Korea time some 30 people will be selected to serve for
a year
