the modern-day consumer. According to the 2018 Telstra Small Business
Intelligence Report, it’s even worse for sole traders with only 36% with a website. That’s even though 48% of customers say they’ll stop considering a business if it doesn’t have a website. The businesses that do have a website, 89% of customers say it
needs to be easy to navigate. It also need to be mobile friendly because 48% of customers now shop on a mobile device at least once a week. The report also reveals
76% of business owners consider word of mouth referrals to be the most significant driver of new sales but 71% of consumers prefer online searches and reviews rather than word of mouth. So, if you don’t have a website yet, now is the time to get online.
