Breaking News: Dating Is Actually Fun | Presented by Tinder

Friday nights at the bowling
alley. Local ads in the pennysaver. The grocery store. These are the ways we once found
dates. But how do we find dates in the
modern age? We sent our investigative
reporters, Vanessa and Cynia,
into the field to get the story. That’s — that’s us. I’m Vanessa.
I’m Cynia. I look like a
Vanessa. Let’s just go. Does anyone here date? Hello, sir. Would you like to
talk about dating? OK, great. What’s important to
you in a relationship? Communication. What about making mixtapes? No. OH. How do you generally meet
people? Um… Either I meet somebody at a bar
or online sometimes. Online. And when you say online, do you
mean the apps? Right. I’m currently in a
relationship. And how did the two of you meet? We actually met on Tinder. I just, I mean it’s fun just to
see who’s out there. Have you heard of Tinder? No. We just signed up so we’re
looking to, you know. OK. We need some tips. I kind of want to make myself
seem as personable as possible. Go through the profile. I think
the pictures matter a lot. I smile a lot in my pictures. Maybe like an animal or
something, ‘cause I’ve got an
animal in my profile picture and I feel like it makes me seem
more like friendly. I hate people who use their cute
dogs in like their profile pic
because like, I’m not gonna know if I like you because
I’m distracted by the beautiful
dog in your photo. Do you ever go out with someone
just to meet the dog? Yes. Thank you young man, good luck. Happy Tindering. Our report from the field says
that dating is still all about
having fun. And being yourself. And if you can’t be yourself,
try being Vanessa. She’s very
successful. [Laughs]
